Joan Cunnington Oglethorpe

Joan Mary Cunnington Oglethorpe, 90, a woman of excellence, virtue and love went home to her Savior and best friend on Tuesday evening. She was surrounded by her daughters and other family members as she sweetly ended her life here and began a glorious eternity with her precious Jesus. She was a member of Calvin Presbyterian and later attended Moyock Assembly of God. She is predeceased as well by her husband, Edward K. Oglethorpe and her brother, William Cunnington. She is survived by her children, Karen Baldwin and husband, David Baldwin, Kathy Perrie and husband, Randy Perrie, Robin Minter and husband, Ben Minter and Gayle Wooten and husband, Donald Wooten; twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. A visitation will be from 6-8pm, Friday, December 16, 2016 at Smith and Williams Norfolk Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 2pm, Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Calvin Presbyterian Church in Norfolk with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
