Wendy Gayle Hildebrant

Wendy Gayle Hildebrant, 52, of Boonville passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024, with her family by her side, after bravely battling a lengthy illness. She was born on October 31, 1971 in Evansville, IN. to the late Eugene "Buster" Kemp, Sr. and Sharon (Devine) Wilson. Wendy graduated in 1991 from Central High School, where she was a member of the school's inaugural softball team. She went on to attend Ivy Tech Community College where she studied to be a medical receptionist. Wendy was a sweet, loving, wife, mother, and friend. Her greatest joy was being a mom to daughter Paige and her friends. She loved being a Halloween baby. She looked forward to dressing up every year on her birthday to trick or treat with Paige, and held an annual Halloween party for Paige and her friends. She cherished spending time with her family, and enjoyed singing karaoke, and fishing. Wendy had a huge, kind, giving heart, and always put others before herself. Her strength, courage, and fighting spirit are an inspiration to us all. She will be profoundly missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. She is preceded in death by her father, Eugene "Buster" Kemp, Sr. Wendy is survived by her devoted husband of 24 years, Kevin Hildebrant; her daughter, Paige Hildebrant; her mother, Sharon Wilson and her husband Doug; her brother, Eugene Kemp, Jr. and his wife Jennifer, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws. The family would like to thank the numerous doctors, nurses, and medical staff who have provided her care the last two years. A Celebration of Life Service will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261. Family and friends may visit Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
