Steven C. Lamberson

Steven C. Lamberson, 61, of Newburgh, IN, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at Deaconess VNA Plus Charlier Hospice Center in Evansville. He was born May 13, 1955, in Evansville, IN, to the late Charlie and Mary (Bowlin) Lamberson. He was a member of the North High School Class of 1973. He worked at Mulzer Crushed Stone as a truck driver. Steve was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed restoring old cars and going to car shows. One of his favorite ways to spend his time was attending his grandchildren’s’ sporting events. Steve had a green thumb and enjoyed vegetable gardening. He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Brett Davis. Steve is survived by his wife of 16 years, Karen (Roark) Lamberson; son, Chris Lamberson (Jennifer); daughters, Melinda Johnson (Bill), Cindy Fletcher; 7 grandchildren; brothers, Rick Bowlin, Lester Lamberson, Art Osborne, Robert Frantz; many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Deaconess VNA Plus Charlier Hospice for their care during his illness. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, June 4, 2016, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel officiated by Pastor Mike Claypool with burial at Locust Hill Cemetery in Evansville. Friends may visit 9:00 AM until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Deaconess VNA Plus Charlier Hospice Center.
