Annie L. Gregg

Annie L. Gregg, 89, of Newburgh passed away on Monday, May 2, 2022. She was born April 7, 1933 in Russellville, KY. It is with great sadness the Gregg family has lost their mother, the matriarch of the family. She lived a long and wonderful life. She was a member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church, Rolling Hills Country Club and a former member of Tri Kappa. Annie was very active with her church family and the 9 Hole Ladies League at RHCC and she was the first family member to get a Hole in One. She worked at SIGECO for 4 years and then retired to be a full time mother and homemaker. Annie was well known for her cooking and baking skills, especially her mushroom casserole and banana nut bread. She loved her plants and her flower gardens as well as feeding the birds. Annie’s “last job” was an ambassador for Primrose Retirement Community. She was the face for the new residents at Primrose. She will be missed by all, especially her family who loves her dearly. Annie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dr. Robert E. Gregg Jr.; grandson, Jason R. Gregg; mother, Josephine “Nana” Landis; brother, Harry Donald Stanton, and several family members from Russellville, KY. She is survived by her children, James R. Gregg (Janet), Andrew Gregg (Cheryl), and Cathi Pease (Jeff); grandchildren, Joshua Gregg (Heather), Michael Wolf, Samantha Wolf and Tanner Pease; great-grandchildren, Lilah and Ivy Anne Gregg, Alison and Joseph Draughan; best friends, Joanie Keck and Barb Pickle. A Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 9, 2022 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261, officiated by Matt Volkman, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Family and friends may visit 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, May 8, 2022 and Monday 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
