Wilma A. Wilson, 88, went home to be with her heavenly Father Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born January 26, 1927 in Princeton, Kentucky to the late Herbert and Ethel Jones Francis. She is also preceded in death by her brothers, Hubert and William Francis. She graduated from Bethel Women’s College in 1947. She was always active in her church as a former member of 1st Southern Baptist and a member of Southeast Christian Church. She was also a member of Eggers Club and Craft Club. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, and delighted in her 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Survivors include:
Husband: Charles R. “Charlie” Wilson of Charlie Wilson’s Dixie Appliance
Children: Krystal McCulloch
Steven D. Wilson and his wife, Dianne
Charles “David” Wilson and his wife, Debbie
Half-Brother: Kenny Francis and his wife, Linda
Grandchildren: Amanda McMonigle (Justin), Michelle Kepley (Bruce), Michael McCulloch (Amy), Adrienne Champine (Leon), Isaiah Wilson, Hannah Creek (Anthony), and Leah Rainbolt (Derek)
7 great grandchildren and many extended family members and friends.
The family would like to especially thank her caregivers and friends, Cynthia, Geri, and Vanessa for their compassion and care.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday and after 9:00 am Tuesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with private entombment to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
