William B Rader

William B. Rader, 88, died Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky. He was born November 20, 1925 in Wichita Falls, Texas to the late John Trout Steer and Clara Helen (Jackson) Rader. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Colleen Rader, and siblings, Rosa Kimbrough, Anna Claire Rice, Eleanor Harrell, John Rader, and Jack Rader. He is a U.S. Navy veteran having served in WWII and worked for the Atomic Energy Commission. He was a devout and generous Christian, giving most of his time and resources to help others.
Survivors include:
Daughter: Carolyn (Wayne) Rogers
Granddaughter: Savannah (Nathan) Miller
Brother: Clarence (Elaine) Rader
Many nieces and nephews including Robert and James Rader
And a great grandchild on the way
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. A graveside service will be held 10:00 am Wednesday at Abundant Life Cemetery in New Albany, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
