Sharon R. Owens, 74, passed away Friday, January 1, 2021. The daughter of the late Clifford H. and Olive Jean (Leach) Huntley, Sharon was born May 8, 1946 in New Albany, Indiana. She was a retired registered nurse and member of First Baptist Church in New Albany. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Owens; and father and mother-in-law, Ernie and Evelyn Owens.
Survivors include her children, Tammy Cadorette (Brell) and Kevin Owens (Kim); grandchildren, Jordan Brown (Richard), Sydney Cadorette, Katie Strange, and Matthew Strange; great grandchildren, Jayden, Jolie, and Owen; siblings, Theresa Hess, Cindy Burks-Sanders, Iona Bagshaw, RoxAne Hosea, Denny Huntley, and Kenny Huntley; and sister-in-law, Joyce Redden.
Visitation and Funeral Service will be private. Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany has been entrusted with her care. She will be entombed in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Sharon’s memory be made to First Baptist Church, 813 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150.
