Roger George Bonn

ROGER GEORGE BONN, 72, died Sunday, March 3, 2013 at home surrounded by his family. The son of the late Robert and Margaret (Hobel) Bonn, Roger was born May 15, 1940 in Buffalo, NY. He was a veteran and cryptographer with top secret clearance with the U.S. Army and a scholar of World War II. Roger was a financial advisor with Stifel Nicolaus & Company, Inc. and was in financial services for over 50 years. He was past president of the Rotary Club of New Albany, the Ohio Valley Corvette Club and The Dream Factory. He was former Board President at Central Christian Church in New Albany and current member of First Christian Church in Jeffersonville. In addition to his love of Corvettes, Roger loved to play Hearts and was a very loyal fan of the Buffalo Bills. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Bonn. Survivors include: Wife of 29 years: Candice (Williams) Bonn Children: Roger L. Bonn (Cathy) Maggie Shively Jennifer Dyck (Robert) Dennis Samsel (Sandra) Leigh Samsel Sister: Patricia Bonn Selbert Grandchildren: Michael, Ashley and Courtney Bonn, Brie and Alex Shively, Olivia Hicks, Chloe and Jacob Dyck and Nathan Samsel Visitation will be from 2:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm Tuesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm Wednesday in the Kraft Spring Street Chapel with burial and military honors to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
