Norma Jean Davis

Norma Jean Davis, 80, of Georgetown, Indiana passed away on Friday, February 17, 2023. Norma was born in New Albany, Indiana on September 28, 1942, to the late Baxter and Lucille Lawson. She spent her childhood in Perry County, Indiana and eventually moved to New Albany where she was a graduate of New Albany High School. She was retired from the New Albany Floyd County School System in the Special Education Department with 32 years of service. Norma enjoyed traveling, reading and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Russell Davis Sr.; two sons, Steven Wayne Davis and Bobby Russell Davis Jr.; and a brother, Bob Lawson. She is survived by a daughter, Robyn Becht; several grandchildren and great grandchildren who fondly called her "Nan"; three sisters, Peggy Burford, Sue (Tony) Marsh and Linda (David) Schutz; a sister-in-law, Ann Lawson and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana 47150. Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at the funeral home with burial to follow in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park. Expressions of sympathy are suggested to the WHAS Crusade for Children.
