Obituary of Helen M. Englert
Helen Englert, a woman of immense love, strength, and humor, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2023. Born on September 14, 1927, Helen lived a life full of deep affection and laughter, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Pamela Belden and her partner Bruce Sinkhorn, four grandchildren, Matthew Belden, Jonathan (Patty) Belden, Clay Waters and Sara Waters. She is additionally survived by her great-grandchildren, Phoebe Belden, Patrick Belden, George Belden, Lilly Belden, and Edith Divine-Waters. Helen's enduring love, wisdom, and spirit will continue to live on through her progeny, making her presence continuously felt even in her absence. Helen was predeceased by her loving spouse, George Englert. Their bond was a testament to a love that was profound, enduring, and strong, further contributing to the legacy of love that Helen leaves behind. She was also predeceased by her loving daughter, Karen Waters. With her remarkable strength and resilience, Helen faced life's challenges, proving herself as a pillar of strength for her loved ones. She sprinkled laughter in the lives of those around her with her unique sense of humor, making every moment spent with her a joyous occasion. The void left by Helen's departure is tangible, but the memories she created, filled with love and mirth, will provide comfort to those who mourn her. As we bid farewell to Helen, we remember and honor an inspiring individual who taught us strength in adversity, joy in the simplest of moments, and the enduring power of love through God. She may no longer be with us in person, but her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us in every step we take forward. Rest in peace, dear Helen. You are home with God. You will be missed. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 28, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150. Funeral mass will be Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 1752 Scheller Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150 with burial to follow in St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.
