Edna E. Stumler

Edna E. Stumler, of Starlight, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Baptist Floyd Hospital. Edna worked and retired from the Colgate-Palmolive factory in Clarksville after 38 years. She was a longtime member of St. John Starlight Catholic Church.
Edna most enjoyed her beautiful flowers and feeding the hummingbirds. She loved visits from friends and the neighborhood animals and could often be found sitting on her deck enjoying the outdoors. Edna was always ready to share memories and stories about her 97 years. She was intelligent, thoughtful, independent, and had a wonderful sense of humor.
Edna was born on March 14, 1926, in Crawford County, Indiana. She is preceded in death by her mother, Alda Kemp, husband, Edgar Stumler, son, Joseph Lee Young, brother Garry Kemp, and her beloved dog, Prince Charles of Alton.
She is survived by her brother, Larry Kemp (Myra), and two stepsons, Gerald Stumler (Nancy) and Lane Stumler, and several nieces and nephews. Edna also leaves behind, to treasure her memory, many friends including her closest friends, the Missi family, Balmer/Andres family, and the Titus family who cared for her in later years. She will be dearly missed.
A visitation for Edna will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150.
A funeral mass will held Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at 10:00 AM at St. John Starlight Catholic Church, 8310 St. John Road, Starlight, Indiana. Edna will be laid to rest in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions can be made in honor of Edna to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
