He was part of a large and close family, including his wife of 60 years, Kathy Smith (Russell), and their three sons: David Callistus (deceased), Matthew Louis (Danette), and Christopher Russell (Joe); six grandchildren: Benjamin Paul (Kotryna), Tyler David (Chelsey), Lucas Alexander (Debbie), Grant Matthew (Sophie), Catherine Elliott, Zealand David, and a great-granddaughter, Kennedy Louise; nine brothers and sisters: Ann Jeanette Baker (Jim), Kenny (deceased), Ivan (deceased), Charlotte Mooney (Steve), Evelyn Heilegenburg (deceased), Nancy Abel (John), C.J.
