Audree J. Mason

AUDREE J. WERNZ MASON, 94 years of age, died Tuesday, July 8, 2014. She was born September 20, 1919 in Illinois to the late Stephen Arnold and Mollie Z. (See) Wernz. Audree and her husband of some 62 years, Robert, who died in 2002 formerly lived in Terre Haute, Indiana for some 50 years. She was a retired bookkeeper, former member of Our Lady of Perpetual Church, and member of the L.I.F.T. Widow and Widowers group of Southern Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Marty L. Mason; niece, Audree Galofaro; and nephew, Samuel Galofaro. Audree loved her family and people. She will be fondly remembered and missed by all who knew her. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Maple Manor for all the special care and love received and given to Audree. Survivors include her sister, Anita Galofaro and husband, Tony; niece, Julie Moore and husband, Tom; great nieces, Jessie Burnett and husband, Nathan, and Claire Galofaro; great-great niece and nephew, Laine and Vincent Burnett. A reception of family and friends will be from 2:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm Friday, July 11th, with a Rosary Service at 4:00 pm at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, IN. Another reception of family and friends will be held at DeBaun Funeral Home, 2425 Wabash Avenue, Terre Haute, IN from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Sunday, July 13th. Her Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am Monday, July 14th, at the DeBaun Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Roselawn Cemetery, Terre Haute.
