Veneda “Jean” Manderbach, 89, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Yorktown Manor surrounded by her family.
Jean was born on Friday, March 30, 1934, the daughter of Horace and Marie Whitworth. She married the love of her life, Robert, on December 28, 1953 and they shared fifty-six years together before his passing in 2010. In her spare time, she would visit residents in nursing homes who had no family. More than anything, Jean loved having family dinners with her children and grandchildren.
Jean is survived by her children, Sherri (Allen) Robbins, Karen (Wayne) Mullikin, Robert Manderbach, and Stephen Manderbach; four grandchildren, Megan (Ryan) Johnson, Heather (Fiance, Brady) Kingen, Amy Heath and Brandon Manderbach; great grandchildren, Kaleb, McKenzie, Jordan, Braxton, Mason, Noah, and Hunter; special friends, Juli Wright and Milissa Oliver; and her fur baby, Cassie.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Manderbach; parents; siblings, Shirley Frazee, Sharon Brown, and Pat Weaver; and daughter-in-law, Tammy Manderbach.
Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at Elm Ridge Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304. Burial will follow at Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
