Robert Thorpe Simison

Robert Thorpe Simison, age 95, of Warsaw, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021. Robert was born August 31, 1926 to the late Samuel and Hazel (Stanley) Simison. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Virginia (Swink) Simison; siblings, Levi Simison and Charlotte Simison Cook; grandson, Trevor Swink; and son-in-law, Sam Herwehe. Robert served in the US Army and spent his career working as a banker. He was a member of Gethsemane United Methodist Church Muncie and the American Legion. Robert was also a member of the Elks, Moose Lodge in Hartford City, and was a Freemason. Robert was an avid golfer, bowler, and dancer. Robert is survived by his children, Terri Herwehe and Larry Swink (Kathy); grandchildren, Shane Aikin, Heather Aikin, Aaron Swink (Lisa), and Grant Herwehe; great grandchildren, Caroline Aikin, Alex Aikin, Noah Swink, Alyssa Swink, and Everlee Herwehe; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. His cremated remains will be laid to rest at Elm Ridge Cemetery at a later date according to his wishes.
