Regina Marie “Marie” (Jester) Moody, also known as Mam to her friends, 94, of Daleville, passed away on October 18, 2024 at IU Health Ball Memorial in Muncie. Marie was born in Muncie, IN on April 21, 1930 to Roy and Ruth (Martin) Jester.
Marie was a homemaker until she went to work at Ball State University as a cook and housekeeper. She was known for her kindness, love of family (especially the babies), and her awesome hugs!
Marie is survived by her husband of 75 years, Gene; children, Darrell (Cindy) Moody and Vickie (Myke) Rees; grandchildren, Jason (Mandy) Rees, Trent (Kim) Rees, Kyle (Lauren) Rees, Meagan (Derek) Jones, and Whitney (Bryce) Crider; and great-grandchildren, Cassidy, Bella, Maddie, Madden, Austin, Kylee, Nova, Maylee, Myles, Silas, Quinn, Rowan, Stevie, and Vivee; one sister, Debbie Atkinson.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents; son, Mike; brothers, Bert, Larry, Jim, Paul, and Don; and sisters, Sandy and Carolyn.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at 1 pm at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 W. Kilgore Ave., Muncie IN 47304, with Pastor Chris Bunch officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family from 11 am until the time of the service, on Thursday, at the funeral home.
