Wayne Carter Woodcock

WOODCOCK, Wayne Carter, 69, of Midlothian, departed this life August 22, 2016, after a brave month-long fight with illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and June Woodcock. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Audrey; daughters, Amy Kimbrough (Dean) and Debra Woodcock; sister, Diane Woodcock; and his beloved animals, Bugsy, Kristy and Puff. He worked for VDOT for 44 years in the Transportation and Planning Division. He loved walking his dogs, reading the newspaper, and spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, kindness, intelligence, and ability to brighten everyone’s day. A memorial service and interment of ashes will be held on Saturday, September 10, at 5 p.m., at Christ the King Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ the King Lutheran Church, 9800 W. Huguenot Rd., Richmond Va. 23235.
