Doris L. Davis

Doris L. Davis passed away peacefully on September 16, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Katherine Leviner; three brothers, Elwood Leviner, Julius Leviner and Thomas Leviner and one son, John Edwin Davis. She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, John Davis; one son, William Davis (Carol); two grandchildren, Jessica Lathrop (Phillip) and Benjamin Davis (Melissa); two great granddaughters, Brynlee and Rhylee Lathrop; three sisters, Janice Campbell (Jim), Barbara Barringer (Gene), Betty Gasper (Tony), and numerous nieces and nephews. Doris loved reading books, crafting, shopping and playing Bingo. She also loved to travel. The family will receive friends from 3-7pm on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Woody Funeral Home – Huguenot Chapel. A chapel service will be held at Woody on Monday, October 2, 2023 at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. The family would like to thank the staff at James River Hospice and Seaton Chesterfield for the care she received during her time with them.
