Alice May Gillis

Alice May Gillis, 57, daughter of Lucille Myers and William Henry Myers, was born May 20, 1965, in Bowling Green, Virginia. She departed her life on June 7, 2022 at her residence. She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Shiloh Baptist Church. She graduated in 1984 from Caroline High School. Alice was employed by Iron Skillet in 1993 until 2013. She was then employed by Golden Corral until her passing. She loved her grandchildren and going to play bingo with her bestie. She also loved to dance. She was loving, caring, and a pure ball of fun. She always had a positive attitude no matter what she was going through in her life and she fought until the very end. She was preceded in death by her twin brother, Al Myers and older brother William Myers; younger sister, Amy Wright; and a brother-in-law, Keith Gillis. She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Lucille Myers; her father, William Henry Myers; her husband, Willie Gillis; son, Javonte Gillis (Akia); and daughter, Alesha Gillis; three grandchildren Keontay Haskins, Deonte Gillis, and Javonte Gillis Jr.; sisters, Lisa Wormley (Robert), Lu Childs (Arthur); brothers, James Myers (Janice), Lionell Myers (Chantel); brother-in-laws, Todd Gillis (Brenda), and Tracey Gillis (Cathy); and sister-in-law, Natasha Owen-Giliis; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, coworkers, and friends. She also had two special friends, Denise Monroe and Shannon Howard. A visitation will be held from 10:00am - 11:00am on Saturday, June 18th at Caroline Community Services Center, 17202 Richmond Turnpike, Milford, VA 22514. Followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am.
