Judith Southward Williams

Judith S. Williams, (Age 86), of Mechanicsville, VA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 2, 2023. She is the loving wife of the late John G. Williams; devoted mother of Janice L. Childress and Douglas G. Williams (Sandy); cherished grandmother of David L. Henry (Michelle), Thomas G. Henry (Courtney), and Bethany T. Williams; great-grandmother of Brianna, Savanna, Sadie, Dani, Alex, Adalynn, and Brayden. She is preceded in death by her parents, George A. Southward and Muriel S. Reed; siblings, Aubrey Southward, Doris Cully, and George “Alex” Southward.
Judith was a homemaker, and member of Fairmount Christian Church where kept the nursery for 40 years. She enjoyed gardening, knitting and spending time with her family. She was an avid UVA Fan and adored Coach Tony Bennett.
Relatives and friends are invited to Judith’s visitation at Woody Funeral Home-Atlee Chapel, 9271 Shady Grove Rd., Mechanicsville, VA, on Thursday, December 14 from 6-8 PM and where a funeral service will be celebrated on Friday, December 15 at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park, 6217 Memorial Drive, Sandston, VA at 1 PM.
