Allen "Buck" H. Kelly, Jr., 87, of Mechanicsville, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 12, 2024.
He was preceded in death by his father, Allen Kelly, Sr.; mother, Lucille Kelly; and sister, Hazel Haynes.
Buck retired from William Byrd Press and was a member of Shalom Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Navy from March 1955 to February 1959 as a Gunners Mate 3 on the U.S.S. William M. Wood. Buck loved to travel and enjoyed watching golf and stock car racing.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Jerry Kelly; children, Michael Kelly (Ann), Robin Bolas (Jeff); grandchildren, Joseph and Katharine Kelly, Jennifer Powell, Adam Bolas, Kaitlyn and Matthew Bolas; and great grandchildren, Jace, Lily, Ainsley.
A celebration of Buck's life will be held at 12 p.m. on Monday, July 29, 2024 at Shalom Baptist Church, 8116 Walnut Grove Rd., Mechanicsville, Va. 23111, with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
