Gail Ann Odermann McKinney, 87, of Martinsville, Va. passed away on her favorite holiday, July 4, 2024.
She has born August 11, 1936 in Manchester, Connecticut to John
Albert Odermann and Gertrude Florence Seifert. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Floyd McKinney.
She is survived by her son, Kirk Mitchell Campbell (Vikki) and her daughter, Mary Catherine “Cathy” Campbell; grandchildren, Christopher Campbell, Matthew Campbell, Justin Campbell (Patti), Brianna Suydam and Robert Campbell; 7 great grandchildren; nephew, Scott Higgins and niece, Katie Higgins.
Gail graduated from Boone High School in Orlando Florida. She worked for Piedmont Trust Bank and retired after 35 years.
Gail was a member of Chatham Heights Baptist Church. She also volunteered for the American Red Cross.
Gail loved her life and especially her family. She loved her summers at Smith Mountain Lake, which was her special place.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 16, 2024 at Roselawn Burial Park and will be officiated by Reverend Dr. Michael Hatfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Chatham Heights Baptist Church, 1235 Chatham Heights Road, Martinsville, Va. 24112.
