Ted Grayson Ramsey

Ted Grayson Ramsey, 83, of Madison Heights, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Fairmont Crossing in Amherst. He was the husband of Joyce Lee Ramsey.
Ted was born July 16, 1938, near Brightwells Mill in Amherst County, he was the son of the late Troy Edward and Maggie Daniel Ramsey and was also preceded in death by two brothers, Leroy Ramsey and Marvin Ramsey. Ted graduated from E.C. Glass High School in 1957 and worked as a meat cutter for Kroger for forty years. He was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Ramsey is survived by three sons, Keith Ramsey and wife Glenda, Trevor Ramsey and wife Brenda, all of Madison Heights, and Kyle Ramsey and wife Valerie of Bedford County; a sister, Jewel Crouch of Easton, MD, and five grandchildren, Justin, Jillian, Hannah, Simon, and Ethan.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Meade Cemetery in Madison Heights with Pastor Terry Wornstaff officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Oakdale Baptist Church.
