Obituary of Sarah Hamilton Wright
Sarah Elizabeth Hamilton Wright, affectionately known as Beth, peacefully departed to her heavenly home on Saturday, December 2, 2023, after a brief battle with cancer. Born on January 20, 1959, in Dublin, Georgia, Beth was the beloved daughter of Vivian Muns Hamilton and the late Reverend D. Jack Hamilton. Beth dedicated her professional life to the well-being of others as a nutrition specialist with Bentley Commons, having previously served in food service. Her commitment extended beyond the workplace, as she actively engaged in her community and was a cherished member of Madison Heights Christian Church. Preceding her in death were her father, Reverend D. Jack Hamilton, her sister, Kathy Hamilton, and her brother, William "Bill" Hamilton. She is survived by her loving mother, Vivian Muns Hamilton, her devoted son, Andrew "Drew" Blankenship, and her very dear friend, Kay Gravely; and Paul Wright. Beth also leaves behind her Big Lick family and friends, as well as a large extended family of cousins and loving friends. Beth's impact on the lives of those around her was immeasurable. She will be missed eternally, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Beth had a remarkable ability to love everyone, and in return, she was dearly loved by all who had the privilege of crossing paths with her. The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to Bentley Commons, where Beth worked, for their support and comfort during a challenging time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those wishing to make memorial contributions consider donating to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org, or Madison Heights Christian Church. A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date. Beth's legacy is beautifully encapsulated in the enduring message she consistently shared with those around her: "Love you, Mean it." This simple yet profound expression reflects the essence of Beth's character—a person who not only spoke of love but lived it genuinely and wholeheartedly. May we all strive to honor Beth's memory by embracing her message, spreading love with authenticity, and cherishing the connections that make life meaningful. In doing so, we ensure that Beth's legacy lives on, not just in words, but in the actions and hearts of those she touched.
