Rosa Belle Trent Tweedy, 97, of Madison Heights, died on December 21, 2020. She was the wife of the late Ira Richard (Zick) Tweedy.
She was born on September 21, 1923 in Appomattox County and was the daughter of the late Charles Faulkner and Rosa Milo Eller Trent. She was preceded in death by two sons, Glen Dale Tweedy, Sr. and Bruce Allen Tweedy, Sr.; one great grandson, Zachery W. Robertson; three brothers, Charles R. Trent, Lee F. Trent, and Clayton D. Trent; and four sisters, Myrtis T. Harding, Kathleen T. Tweedy, Glenola Trent and Helen Johnson. She was retired from Quality Foods and was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Richard Wayne Tweedy and Robert Edward Tweedy; one daughter-in-law, Brenda Tweedy (Bruce); one sister, Jean Childress of Rustburg; 11 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and 8 great great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 1 pm on Monday, December 28, 2020 at Briarwood Memorial Gardens, with Rev. Terry Wornstaff officiating.
