Robert "Bobby" Lewis Bradley
July 14, 1954 – March 6, 2022

Robert “Bobby” Lewis Bradley, 67, of Madison Heights, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at his home following an eight year battle with brain cancer.
He was born in Lynchburg on July 14, 1954.
Bobby attended Pleasant View Elementary and graduated from Amherst County High School in 1972. After getting his start driving trucks with his father for Bradley Trucking Company, Bobby spent the majority of his career working for Taylor Ramsey Corporation in Madison Heights, VA. He began his career there as a truck driver and worked his way into sales. Bobby retired from lumber sales in 2015 from Fortress Wood Products of Martinsville, VA. Bobby loved the outdoors. He hunted, golfed, and became an avid runner. He was a New York Yankee fan and shared the love of baseball with his mother. In life his greatest strength was his love of Jesus Christ. He attended and served in various church positions including as a musician, songwriter, teacher, and board member. At the time of his death he was a member of Oronoco Church of the Brethren in Vesuvius, VA. In retirement he loved spending time on his farm at Pleasant View, visiting with his parents, and traveling around the country in his motorhome.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Denise C. Bradley; parents, Lewis and Rosa Bradley; two children, Sara B. Zimmerman of Hastings, Nebraska and Daniel Bradley and wife Melissa; two brothers, Rev. E. Arnold Bradley and wife Patricia and H. Keith Bradley and wife Cheryl; a sister, Kaye B. Haas and husband Robert of Front Royal; four grandchildren, Jerome Zimmerman, Billy Zimmerman, Mason Bradley and Lance Bradley. He is also survived by several aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4 - 6 pm on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Oronoco Church of the Brethren with Rev. Arnold Bradley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Oronoco Church of the Brethren.
