Norman David Tyree

Norman David Tyree, 49, of Amherst, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at his residence. He was the beloved husband of Donna Kirby Tyree for eighteen years. Born June 19, 1968 in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late Howard Dudley “Pete” Tyree, Sr. and the late Lucy Gottschall Tyree. Norman was a maintenance and steel worker with Banker Steel Company. He was a member of Madison Heights Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, Norman is survived by two sons, Michael Norman Tyree of Arizona and Joshua Chase Tyree of Amherst; two sisters, Joyce L. Tyree and Karen T. Martin and her fiancé, Jeff France, both of Madison Heights; one brother, Howard D. Tyree, Jr. and his wife Leslie of Monroe and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Whitten Monelison Chapel and other times at the residence.
