Paul Robert Winfield, Sr.

Paul Robert Winfield, Sr., 75, of Lynchburg, died, Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at his residence. He was the husband of Regina Power Winfield. Born June 22, 1937, in Springfield, MA, he was the son of the late Henry Samuel Winfield, Sr. and the late Florence Lillian Wright Winfield. Paul was a retired truck driver for Englander Transport Company, and he was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Lawrence Ennis; three brothers and two sisters. In addition to his wife, Paul is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth (Beth) Lillian Winfield Ennis; his son, Paul Robert Winfield, Jr.; his sister, Beulah Bernice Winfield, all of Lynchburg; three grandchildren, Patrick Roland Winfield, Travis Ryan Ennis and Hailey Christine Ennis; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted, 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 11, 2013, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the Rev. David Heerspink officiating. Interment will follow at New Concord Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends, 6-8 p.m., Thursday, January 10, 2013, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel and at other times at the residence. Memorial contributions may be made to Gleaning For The World.
