Melissa Melton Cook

Melissa Melton Cook, age 54, of Lynchburg, VA, passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, November 6, 2024. She was born on May 13, 1970, in Lynchburg, to the late Carlton G. Melton, Sr. and Dorothy Eagle Melton. Melissa was a beloved mother, sister, and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her two sons, Anthony "A.J." Cook and his fiancée Chelle Eddy, and Carlton Donovan Cook. Melissa is also survived by her sister, Sandra Millner; two brothers, Carlton Melton, Jr. and Gary Duane Melton; as well as her niece, Melody J. Millner, and nephew, James R. Millner, Jr. Melissa was known for her loving and caring nature. She always put her family first and had a heart full of compassion for those around her. Her warm smile and kind spirit will be remembered by all who knew her. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Rest in peace, Melissa. You will forever be in our hearts.
