Joy Merritt Fielder, 75, of Lynchburg passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer on September 25, 2018.
She was born January 4, 1943 to the late John and Florence Merritt. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Herbert T. Fielder.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her four children: Stacey, Craig (Belinda), Gregory (Tina) and Doug: seven grandchildren: Paul Gramm, IV (Julia), Taylor Gramm, Ricardo Pino, Alanna Pino, Lorenzo Pino, Merritt Pino (Hali), and Trevor Pino; one great-granddaughter; Ella Gramm.
The family will receive friends and family for a celebration of life on Saturday, October 6, 2018 from 3:00 to 5:00 at Whitten Funeral Home Timberlake Chapel, Lynchburg.
The family would like to thank the wonderful nurses at Centra Hospice for the great care that was given to our mother. We would also like to thank Dr. Cirenza for his loving care.
