James Randolph Farmer

James Randolph Farmer, 53, of Lynchburg passed away Monday, December 16, 2013 at his residence. He is survived by his wife, Regina Kay Farmer.
Born in Lynchburg, December 9, 1960, he was a son of Ozelia Pearl Staton Farmer of Lynchburg and the late William John Farmer. He was a graduate from Gibbs High School in St. Petersburg, FL and was an inspector with Dodson Pest Control. James enjoyed cooking, grilling and fishing. He loved the beach and spending time with his family. He was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, William Henry Farmer and Bernie Wayne Farmer.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons, Joshua Randolph Farmer and his wife April of Rustburg and Daniel James Farmer of Lynchburg; one sister, Barbara Farmer Leebrick and her husband Ray of Lynchburg; his mother-in-law, Sharon Kay Eberley Johnson of Lynchburg and two sisters-in-law, Jan Farmer and Connie Farmer both of Lynchburg.
A service celebrating his life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Gethsemane Baptist Church with Pastor Carlton Duck officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service until 3:30 p.m.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to Gethsemane Baptist Church, 411 Blue Ridge St., Lynchburg, VA 24502.
