Ella Mason Mason Wright

Ella Mason Wright, 79, of Lynchburg, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2015 at the Lynchburg Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Raleigh Wilson Wright. Born May 31, 1935 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Warner Wesley Mason and the late Leonie Sowell Mason and was also preceded in death by three brothers, James L. Mason, Bill W. Mason, and Alex Ray Mason and two sisters, Coretta Stephens and Margaret Staples. She was a retired data entry clerk with The Old Time Gospel Hour and was a member of Heritage Baptist Church. Mrs. Wright is survived by two daughters, Gay B. Miller and her partner A.J. Hobratschk of Lynchburg, Delores W. Scott and husband Jeff of Charlotte, NC; five step-children, Douglas R. Wright of Motley, Calvin Wayne Wright of Jonesville, NC, Jean W. Tipton of Grey, TN, Betty W. Heck of Johnson City, TN and Jimmy Baldwin of Pamplin; fourteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Jim Tucker and Dr. Gerald Kroll officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
