Joseph Chesser, age 81, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022. Joseph was born October 23, 1940 in Springfield, KY to John and Delcie (Lewis) Chesser. On June 25, 1966 Joseph married Linda Daily and she survives.
Joseph was a carpenter with the local union 60 and built many Kroger stores over the past 40 plus years. He was an avid Kentucky Wild Cats basketball fan. Joseph loved taking long walks with his wife and family over the years. When Joseph was able to be outside around the house he was always doing yard work. Joseph loved to spend as much time with his family as he could.
Survivors include his wife Linda Chesser; daughter Angela (Dennis) Chamness; sons John Chesser and Edward (Lisa) Chesser; brothers Carl (Bonnie) Chesser, and James (Deanna) Chesser; grandchildren Chris (Molly) Chesser, Joseph Chesser, Sage Chamness, Lace Chamness, Osie Chamness, Levi Chamness, and Rafe Chamness; great-grandchildren Liam, Wade, and Gracie Faye.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents John and Delcie Chesser; 5 brothers, and 2 sisters.
Friends may visit with the family from noon to 2 pm on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at Ellers Mortuary on Webster Street. Funeral services will start at 2 pm on Tuesday at Ellers Mortuary with Pastor Terry Russell officiating. Burial will follow at Albright Cemetery.
