James Russell White

James Russell White, 88, of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, went to be with his Lord, Thursday, October 11, 2012 surrounded by his family at his granddaughter Erica and Sylvester Cole's Home. He will be joining his beloved wife of 50 years, Thelma Elizabeth Threlkeld White; his parents, Carl and Elsie Smith White; a grandson, and a great-grandson.
He was a native of Kokomo and a graduate of Kokomo High School. He retired from General Motors as an architectural engineer and was a member of The Rock Church in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.
He leaves behind his two sons, Mike (Ann) White of Kokomo and Mark (Thoma) White of Monticello; three daughters, Vicki Peters of Linden, Pamela (Terry) Heath of Radcliff, and Cathy McClain of Swayzee; a brother, Bob White of Kokomo; two sisters, Dean Hovis of Kokomo and Wanita Cox of Greentown; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and four step grandchildren. He is also survived by Andy (Tiffany) Severson and Erica Cole whom he raised.
The funeral will be 1 p.m. Monday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
