IN THE CARE OF
Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home & Cemetery
Our momma bear, not only to her three cubs but an entire generation of soccer players, and so many more, Diane M. Shackelford, lost her courageous battle to cancer on Sept 18, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by unconditionally loving each other to the fullest.
She was known as Mom, Daughter, Sister, Nanna, Great-Nanna, Aunt, Cousin, Friend, and Keeper of your most inner thoughts.
Her pride was in meticulous attention to details, that’s what made her a talented seamstress. Her love of puzzles, card games and spending time with family and friends may have been simple, but meant the world to her.
Diane was born on May 21, 1949 to Ollie Mae (Gamblin) and Everett Andrew Shackelford, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her siblings Janet Kirby, Ralph and Susan Shackelford, Judy and Ken Damewood, Bonnie Atkisson, Bettie and Lowell Burton, and Kathleen Shackelford. She is also survived by her children, Troy and Paige(Ward) Edwards, Rachelle and Joshua Chance, and Benjamin and Alisa Edwards; grandchildren, Khyrstin (and Josh) Morgan, Brandon (and Skylar) Cook, Dylan (and Hannah) Chance, Haydon Chance, Keith (and Alysia) Ward, Jessie Ward and Dustin Kiser, Alex Ward, Kyle Allen, Damon (and Cynthia Vervaet) Klumpp, Shayla (and Austyn) Carrigan, and Brynlynn Lewis, Great grandchildren Brandon Lee Cook Jr., Dylan Ward, Noah Ward, Liam Ward, Susie Vervaet, Jaspyr Carrigan, and Apollo Carrigan.
