Audrey S. Humphrey

Audrey S. Humphrey, 77, Kokomo, passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2012, at her home. She was born February 8, 1935, in Shelby Gap, Kentucky, to Frank and Bertha (Lucas) Anderson. She married Ronald Humphrey in 1985, and he survives. She worked at Delco Electronics retiring in 1986. She enjoyed bowling, working on puzzles, traveling, and going on mission trips. She loved spending time with her family and cherished her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. She is survived by her children, Rene (Mertens) Bailey, Doug Mertens and his wife Sheila, Steve Humphrey, and Ron F. Humphrey; grandchildren, Blake Mertens and his wife Stephanie, Kayla Humphrey, Sarah Mertens, Danielle Mertens, and Morgan Bailey; great-grandchildren, Brooke Mertens, Rylie Mertens, and Kaitlyn Mertens; siblings, Hazel Fouts, Ruth Baker and her husband Bennie, Charlotte Hicks, Marcia Griggs and her husband Bill, and David Anderson and his wife Judy; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Cecile and Walter Anderson; sister, Ann Flintoff; and brother-in-law, Milford Fouts. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Adamson officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
