Obituary of Timothy L. Brown
A Time to Be Born: Timothy was born on August 9, 1943 in Indianapolis, IN to Deacon William Ulysses Brown and Sister Flora Mae Brown. A Time to Grow: Timothy received his grammar education at school #26. He later graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in 1962. Timothy Brown surrendered his life to the Lord and was filled with the Holy Ghost at Bethel Tabernacle Apostolic Faith Assembly. In 1968, Timothy joined Grace Apostolic Church under the ministry of Bishop Morris E. Golder. A Time to Love: Timothy was joined in holy matrimony to Sylvia Marie Milliken in February of 1965. To that union came three children: Carmen, Craig, and Candace. In 1982, Timothy was later joined in holy matrimony to Evangelist Bertha M. Martin who had three cherished children of her own: Lawrence, Raymond II (deceased), and Sherri. Together, they formed a family unit which became affectionately known as the "Brownie Bunch" A Time to Rest: "To everything, there is a season and time for every purpose under heaven; a time to be born and a time to die ... " Timothy Brown passed from his earthly labors to eternal reward on Wednesday, January 9, 2019. A Time to Mourn: Timothy leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 37 years, Evangelist Bertha M. Brown; Children: Carmen, Craig (Aisha), Candace, Lawrence (Melissa), Sherri (Robert); his brother, Frank Henry Brown; one daughter-in-law Lynette, and 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of beloved cousins, nieces, nephews and friends across the nation and world. The family of wishes to acknowledge with deep appreciation the many acts of love, comforting messages, prayers, and all other expressions of kindness. May God Bless You All A Time to Mourn: Timothy was a loving son, husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Flora, as well as four siblings, May, Mary, Marian, and William. A Time to Serve: In 1965, Timothy enlisted in the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict. He received numerous military honors, including his promotion to Sargent. Timothy was later honorably discharged. Sgt. Timothy Brown returned to military service with the Indiana National Guard. Timothy served in the US armed services for 16 years. Elder Timothy used his gift and anointing to sing as a member of Tech High School Choir and Boys Octette, Indianapolis Symphonic Choir, the Indian-apolis Pentecostal Mass Choir, and his beloved Grace Apostolic Church Sanctuary Choir. Timothy was also a member of two musical groups: The Christians and the Gospel Chimes. A Time to Work: As a civilian, Timothy worked as a claims adjuster for the Allstate Insurance Corporation for many years. Timothy later spread his entrepreneurial wings and launched his photography business TP Studios. Over the years, Timothy captured thousands of life moments for so many weddings, military balls, high school proms, senior class photos, day care centers, etc., etc., etc. Timothy later joined Federal Express where he worked for 16 years until his retirement in 2014.
