Shawn Bernard Anderson
September 5, 1964 – October 5, 2022

Shawn Bernard Anderson was born September 5, 1964, in Indianapolis, IN to late parents James Anderson Sr. and Sarah Ann Wells.
He was the youngest boy of his siblings: Valorie Wells, Kenneth Wells, Savone Wells, Keith Wells, Kevin Wells; Aubrey Anderson, James (Glenda) Anderson Jr., Sandra (Percival) Woods, Julie Anderson, and William Anderson, James “Gator” Anderson and Jamice “Pebbles” Anderson, Asa R. Anderson, Jarel Anderson and Shantaya A. Anderson.
Shawn was educated in the Indianapolis community area. He graduated from Broad Ripple High School with passion for theater.
Shawn was a devoted employee for the local 120 labor union. After retirement from the union Shawn devoted his time giving back giving back to his community by donating and volunteering at the local food pantry and his local church Emanuel Temple Church.
Shawn had a passion for riding horses, fishing, dancing, music and making his family and friends laugh. He spent his early years traveling the world with his siblings where he resided in Salt Lake City, Utah, and Denver, Colorado.
Shawn met Kimberly Anderson in 1991 where they wed in August 2002. They later had two beautiful children Bri’Shan and Bri’Shae Anderson. Shawn was also a devoted adopted father to Aniah and Nigel Wimberly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Anderson Sr. and Sarah Ann Wells; his brothers, Aubrey R. Anderson, William C. Anderson, Kenneth Wells and Kevin Wells; his sister Savone Denise “Boopie” Wells; Two sons Matthew Easterling and Alexander Moss.
Shawn leaves to cherish his precious memory by his sons and daughters: Steven Moss, Alexandria Moss, Daniel Moss, Janae Easterling, Shane Easterling, Bri’Shan and Bri’Shae Anderson. 18 grandchildren and a host nieces and nephews.
Service for Mr. Shawn Bernard Anderson will be held 5:00 pm, Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Williams and Bluitt Funeral Home Peoples' Chapel, 5252 E. 38th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, with visitation held from 4:00 pm, until time of service held at 5:00 pm.
