Michael Thatcher

Michael Eugene Thatcher of Indianapolis, IN passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, September 23, 2019. Mike, the son of John and Lillian Thatcher was born in Fort Wayne, IN on February 14, 1948. He was sixth of nine children and is preceded in death by his father and mother and two siblings. He is survived by his wife Maxine“Sandy” ,his three children: Michael (Lora) Thatcher, Monte (Holly) Thatcher, and Michelle (Anthony) Morris. He also leaves behind five beloved grand children: Morgan, Brandon, Chloe, Lukas, and Cameron, as well as his brothers John, Donald, and Larry, his sisters Adelma, Peggy, and Sue, and many nieces and nephews. Mike was as much of a “family man” as one could be. He loved unconditionally, and made everyone feel like they were his favorite. He had a contagious sense of humor and was a man of many smiles and jokes. Mike’s contagious smile, quick wit, and warm personality will be missed by many. His family is grateful to those who have reached out to offer condolences. There will be no memorial services, according to Mike’s wishes.
