Mary Ellen Myers

Mary Ellen Myers, 63, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully Monday morning March 13, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was born July 21, 1959 in Indianapolis, IN to William and Mary (McNulty) Myers. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers John Myers and Jim Myers. Survivors include siblings Daniel Myers; Sharon (Jim) Ulander; Patty (Mike) Perry; Mike (Judy) Myers; Paul (Therese) Myers; Bill (Pam) Myers; Norine Myers; Cathy (Larry) Dea; sister-in-law Ann (Jim) Myers; and many nieces and nephews. The families love for Mary was immeasurable! She was the ultimate aunt. You could always count on her to be in the stands supporting all her nieces and nephews in their many activities. It didn’t matter how far the road trip was, she was all in. We have no words to express the love and support she always gave us. Whatever you were doing or needed, Mary was always there being your right hand or in the background being the silent helper. Mary’s selflessness and compassion for others never wavered even through many health issues. Which is evident in her last spoken words, “treat your neighbor as your friend”. Mary was a proud graduate of St Philip Neri, St. Mary Academy, and University of Indianapolis where she earned her Paralegal degree. She was dedicated and loyal to the attorneys and clients she served, to the paralegal profession, and to the community. The Indianapolis Bar Association honored her as the 2010 Paralegal of the Year. She was also an inaugural recipient of the 2021 Legal Support Star award issued by the IBJ - The Indiana Lawyer. Mary has worked for David Wright for 40 years, 20 years at Kroger Gardis & Regas, LLP and previously at Johnson Smith Pence Densborn Wright & Heath, LLP and Leagre Chandler & Millard LLP. Visitation for Mary will be Monday, March 20, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary, 1307 N Shadeland Ave, Indianapolis, Indiana 46219. Visiting will conclude with a Rosary Service at 7:00 pm. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St Philip Neri Catholic Church, 550 N Rural St, Indianapolis, Indiana 46201. Mary will be laid to rest in Holy Cross Cemetery, Indianapolis at a later date.
