Obituary of Mary Jo Foley Dearing
Mary Jo Dearing, 83, of Indianapolis, departed this life April 13, 2011. Mary Jo was born December 15, 1927 in Indianapolis to Daniel and Nora Foley. She was a graduate of St. Philip Neri School, St. Mary’s High School and attended Marian College. Mary Jo was a longtime and devoted member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Mary Jo was also dedicated as a volunteer for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul for over 20 years, and the Indiana State Museum. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Harry T. Dearing and brothers, Joseph, Francis and Edward Foley and sister Eileen Tinder. Mary Jo is survived by her loving children, Harry J., Terry, Barbara, Dan, Tom, John (Linda), and Patrick (Cathy) Dearing; nine grandchildren, Harry S., Teddy, Morgan, Pauline, Eric, Walter, Mary, Jack and Ann; and numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. Prayer services will be Saturday, April 16th at 9:30 AM in Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Holy Spirit Catholic Church followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, April 15th from 3 – 8 PM at the mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
