James "Bernie" Bernard Palmore

James "Bernie" Bernard Palmore 69, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021. Bernie was born November 22, 1952 in Indianapolis, Indiana the son of the late James Clark and Cleo Palmore. Bernie had worked as a funeral escort for many years with Indianapolis Funeral Escort. He was an Air Force veteran, serving 2 years. Bernie continued his service to others with the Wayne Township Volunteer Fire Department Station 9 and as a volunteer with the Clermont Police Department. He was also a member of the Bridgeport Masonic Lodge #162, American Legion Post 500 and the Patriot Guard Riders. Bernie is survived by his wife: Marcia Palmore, granddaughters: Taylor, Hannah and Morgan Palmore and a great greatgrandchild: DeMari Stevenson. He is preceded in death by his parents, son: James "Bobby" Robert Palmore and his brothers: Alan and Karl Palmore. A visitation for Bernie will be held Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Family Funeral Care-Rockville West, 5791 Rockville Rd, Indianapolis, Indiana 46224, followed by a celebration of life at 7:00 PM. Memorial contribution are requested to be made to the donors charity of choice in Bernie's name.
