James Robert Covert

James Robert Covert, 90, of Greenwood, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023. James was born December 31, 1932 in Pineville, Kentucky the son of the late Charles and Beulah Covert. Jim worked for Indiana Bell for 39 years, retiring in 1994. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the Navy. Jim and his wife Juanita enjoyed traveling and visited all 50 states and was a fan of older classic cars. Jim is survived by his wife of 67 years: Juanita Covert, children: Diana Helmick and Tim (Debbie) Covert, 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He preceded in death by two children: Debbie Fellers and Danny Covert. A visitation for James will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Family Funeral Care-Rockville West, 5791 Rockville Rd, Indianapolis, Indiana 46224. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, May 31, 2023, 11:00 AM at Family Funeral Care-Rockville West. James will be laid to rest in Floral Park Cemetery, 425 N Holt Rd, Indianapolis, Indiana 46222.
