Frank T. Hiatt
July 26, 1927 – August 18, 2021

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Frank T Hiatt at the age of 94 on Wednesday, August 18th. Frank was born to Walter Hiatt and Dorothy Test in 1927. He spent his early years in Woodruff Place with his sister Betty Ferreria and attended Tech High School. Frank was a U.S. Navy Veteran during WW II. He graduated from Purdue University with a Masters Degree in electrical engineering (MEE). Frank was employed at PR Mallory Corp and founded his own electronics company Matrix Corp. Frank was married to Patsy Hanlon in 1951 and had three children - David, Walt, and Karen. They spent many wonderful years at Lake Wawasee, Geist Reservoir, and Sanibel Island. Frank and Pasty enjoyed sailing at ISC, golf, tennis, and traveling Europe. He served as Commodore of the Indianapolis Sailing Club and Board Member of Mariner Point Condominiums on Sanibel Island. He also enjoyed rebuilding British foreign sports cars including his Jaguar XKE, Austin Healy M100, and MG-TD. Frank and Patsy made frequent charitable contributions to the Indianapolis Museum of Art, Eiteljorg Museum, Purdue University, and the Golisano Children’s Hospital in Ft. Meyers. Frank will now be joining Patsy, Walt, and Karen in Heaven. He is survived by his son David and Judy, his daughter-in-law Jennifer Wrege Hiatt, 5 Hiatt grandchildren - Davey (Kaylee), Mindy Stephenson (Gary), Andrew, Laura, Evan (Heidi), and 9 great grandchildren, and niece Mary Longdon (Aaron), nephews John (Trina) and Paul Ferreria.
