Obituary of Frank R. Einterz
Francis (Frank) R. Einterz, Sr. died peacefully at his home in Indianapolis on November 24th. Born on July 28, 1929 in the Bronx, New York, Frank was educated at Fordham Preparatory School and Fordham College, where he graduated with a B.S. in 1950. He spent most of his working life managing food processing plants and worked successively for Standard Brands (Peekskill, New York, 1951-1960), Comstock Foods (Red Creek, New York, 1960-1965), Michigan Fruit Canners (St. Joseph, Michigan, 1965-1969) and John Sexton & Co. (Indianapolis, 1969-1998). As a young man he was a lifeguard at Orchard Beach in New York. Following retirement, he volunteered as a management consultant in Albania and Ukraine and then for many years in Indianapolis as a teacher of English as a second language. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1950 to 1951 and for several years he was County Commander of the Putnam County (N.Y.) American Legion Post. Throughout his active adult life he was an avid swimmer and a daunting competitor on the tennis court. Visitation will be at Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary, 2126 E 71st St., Indianapolis, on Monday, November 30th from 5 PM to 7 PM. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 4100 E 56th St, Indianapolis, on Tuesday, December 1st at 11 AM. He is survived by Cora, his wife of 63 years, and by his children and spouses: Frank (Jos), Ellen, Bob (LeaAnne), George (Linda), Diana, Cora Randall (Glenn), Mike (Sara), Anne Lewandowski (Duane), Nancy Woolf, Theresa Willard (Dave), Andrew (Tara), Katey Owen (James), Johanna Webber (Jay) Grandchildren and spouses: Isaak (Blair) and Micah Einterz, Rob (Andrea), Zach, Seth, Frannie, Grace and Abigail Einterz, Nick (Natalie), Sam (Brandi), Christopher, Ryan and Jennifer Enters, Caitlin (Bob) Dudley, Donald J. Leonard, III, Emily and Audrey Randall, Michael (Jen), Rachael, Joseph, Matthias and Gabriella Einterz, Laura (Brian) Graefnitz, Hannah (Leron) Geistling, Leah (Ryan) Brendel, Elizabeth (Jeremy) Unruh, Eric (Meghan) Robinson, Jr., Christina (Aaron) Schwinn, Rebecca Woolf, David, Jacob, Mary and Simon Willard, Courtney, Lauren, A.J., Zeke and Caroline Einterz, Jonathan, Andrew, Ellen Grace and Nathaniel Owen, Annalise, Molly, Cora, Jack, Max, Eli and Lilly Webber; Great grandchildren: Parker Jane Einterz, Spencer and Mallory Einterz Quinn and Asher Einterz, Eliza, Jackson, Gavin, Paxton and Isaiah Graefnitz, Nalley, Felicity, Siena and Levi Geistling, Harrison Brendel, Isabella Moody and Evelynn Robinson.
