Eveline M. Infanger

EVELINE M. INFANGER Eveline ‘Evie’ Infanger, 97, passed away peacefully on Feb 23, 2022. Evie was born in Buffalo, NY on February 1, 1925, to Carl and Jeanette Duval. She started her working career in Buffalo, NY as a buyer of fashion accessories. When Evie moved to Indianapolis, she worked at Brendon Way Apartments where she met and married the love of her life, Bob Infanger, in 1970. Evie and Bob enjoyed traveling the world together and had great friends they met through tennis, John Purdue Club, Indy 500 Festival Committee, Indianapolis Symphony Conductors Circle, and Habitat for Humanity. Evie and Bob knew how to have fun and truly enjoyed their life together. They were members at Highland Golf and Country Club, Columbia Club, and Skyline Club. Together they were involved in the Central Indiana Tennis Association, the GTE Indy Open Tennis Tournament, and RCA Hardcourt Championships. Bob passed away in 1994 and Evie continued playing tennis with her friends until age 93. Evie was a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. In the past, she served on the board for Winona Women’s Hospital and Walther Cancer Research. Evie moved to Woodland Terrace in Carmel at age 96. Evie is survived by stepson, JR Infanger and his wife, Donna, granddaughter Jennifer Infanger Fitzgerald, grandson Spencer Infanger, their mother Kathy Infanger, and two great grandchildren, Colin and Samantha Fitzgerald. Also, her best friend, Jeannie Wagner, who visited her regularly. Many thanks go out to all the caregivers who helped and supported Evie during her last few years.
