Obituary of Catherine L. Hill
Catherine was a life long resident of Indianapolis Indiana. She graduated Crispus Attucks High School in 1948. She meet the love of her life at a YWCA dance. Catherine was married to William Hill on August 7, 1949 at Second Baptist Church. They were married for 69 years. From that marriage together they had nine children. She was a faithful member of Saint Bridgets Catholic Church and continued her membership with St. Peter and Paul Cathedral after the two churches merged. During her membership at St. Peter and Paul Cathedral she was a member of Knights of St. Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Riverside Civic League Catherine was a dedicated wife and a loving mother to her nine children. Catherine worked for a short time before devoting her life to raising her children and helping with her grandchildren. Even though being mother to such a large family she never complained and always had a mother's love for all her children. Catherine was a devout Christian and always made sure that her children knew that God was real and that Jesus loved them. Catherine loved to travel. She was able to visit Greece, Japan and Hawaii, to name a few of the locations she visited. She also traveled all across the United States. Together with many Crispus Attucks alumni, Catherine was able to sail on many cruises to exotic locations. Catherine leaves to cherish her life, her husband William Hill, her children Larry (Chae) Hill, Darrel (Melodie) Hill, Elaine (James) Johnson, Brian (Pam) Hill, Adelle Stokes, Randall (Martiea) Hill, David (Jacqueline) Hill, Paula Bynm and Eric Hill. Her cousin Beverly Harrington, and 34 grandchildren and great grandchildren. Catherine was loved by her family and will be missed, but she is now with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Well done, your job is complete, you have earned your rest. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord 2 Corinthians 5:8
