Beverly A. Potter,
82, a forty-five year resident of Indianapolis, died peacefully on October 15, 2014. She was born on February 21, 1932 in Toledo, OH. She was the daughter and only child of Lester and Frieda (Maier) Sandusky. She held a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Toledo, where she was also member of the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. After graduation, she began her teaching career in the Toledo Public School system. Beverly became a substitute teacher with Washington Township Schools where she taught for many years, retiring in 1992. She was a member of Cross and Crown Lutheran Church for 45 years. She was a 20 year volunteer at Community North Hospital.
Beverly is survived by her husband of 58 years: Herbert (Skip) Potter, sons: David (Annette) and Mark (Michelle) Potter, grandchildren: Haley, Stephen, Cole, Karen and Rachel Potter. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Sue Potter.
Visitation will be held on from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Cross & Crown Lutheran Church, 2533 East 79th Street, Indianapolis. A Celebration of Resurrection service will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Cross & Crown Lutheran Church, with visitation beginning at 2:00 pm.
