Arthur "Sam" Samuel Murray Jr.

Arthur "Sam" Samuel Murray Jr., 72, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023. Sam was born November 3, 1950 in Indianapolis, IN the son of the late Arthur Samuel, Sr. and Helen Murray. Sam had many careers throughout his life. He worked at Allison Transmission, traveled to build floating docks, drove trucks, and did automotive and furniture upholstery. He was a member of the UAW and an Army veteran. He enjoyed riding Harleys and spending time with the many close friends he made throughout every stage of his life. Sam is survived by his children: Aimee (Glenn) Yarwood and Brad (Missy) Murray, grandchildren: Stephanie (Stephen) Vogt, Aaron (Holly) Mullins, Gabe (Vanessa) Murray, and Delaney (Micah Morgan) Mullins-Yarwood, and great grandchildren: Micah and Lydia Vogt, Sawyer Mullins, and Aiden, Carson, Colton and Mason Gilman. A visitation for Sam will be held Friday, March 24, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Family Funeral Care-Rockville West, 5791 Rockville Rd, Indianapolis, Indiana 46224. A funeral service will occur Friday, March 24, 2023 at 6:00 PM, 5791 Rockville Rd, Indianapolis, Indiana 46224. A graveside service will occur Saturday, March 25, 2023, 11:00 AM at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 1977 S State Rd 135, Greenwood, Indiana 46143.
