Our beloved Mother Ms. Annie Bell Parrish (Powell) was born on December 31, 1934 in Lexington Mississippi to the late Elder Willie D. Powells, Sr. and Ada Mae Cox (Rand). Annie Bell received her education in Mississippi before moving to Indianapolis, where she retired from Coca Cola Bottling Company after 28 years. Annie Bell, as she was affectionally known accepted Christ in her life at an early age and was a devoted member of Ambassador Baptist Church attending regularly until her illness. Annie Bell was the strength of her family, she was a loving mother and grandmother whom instilled great values in her family. She leaves a legacy of strength to be passed on to generations to come. She was more than happy to be the central figure in the lives of her children. Anyone who knew them knew that she was a star in their eyes, and that's all that ever mattered to her. Annie Bell loved dancing, barbecuing and cooking soul food. She enjoyed spending quality time with her children and grandchildren playing spades, checkers, and board games along with gardening, shopping and singing in the church choir. She was also known as the "Candy Lady" because she ran a candy store from her garage in her neighborhood. On March 7, 2020 Annie Bell got her wings and went to walk with the angels at the tender age of 85 years. Annie Bell was proceeded in death by Sheila Hoskins (daughter), Terry Hooker (son), Leola Kellum (sister), lsado Hymond Woods (brother) Sandra Jones, Jannita Hoskins (granddaughters) and Amya Moore (Great Granddaughter) Annie Bell leaves to cherish her loving memories her five brothers G.W.Woods (Gloria) Duck Hill, Ms, John Woods (Joella) Mansfield, TX, Joe Powells (Arlene) Chicago ILL.,Willie D.Powells (Janice) Houston TX..George Powells., and three sisters Irene Hollins, Ella L.Ervin (Clayton) Gary,lN.,and Earlie Washington. She also leaves four sons Joe Hoskins (Janice), Robert Hoskins (Diane), Jerry Hoskins (Denise) and Abdul Hoskins (Nzha) and three daughter's Lorraine Watson (William )Anniston,AL.,Patty Powell and Gwendolyn Moore(John), 21 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren, and a host of family, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. The Family would like to Say a Special Thank You to her caregivers at Harrison Terrace Nursing Home.
